Panamount Place
Panamount Place sits at 70 Panamount Drive NW, in Panorama Hills, in Calgary's far north. NORR Architect Planners drew it and filed two development permits for the site, the first released in November 2002 for seven apartment buildings and three hundred homes, the second in November 2004 for two more buildings and a hundred and fourteen homes. Those two figures add to the 414 homes the City's assessment roll carries at the address today. The roll numbers the homes by building, one through nine, and runs each building's suites across four floors.
The City issued the first building permit in December 2002 and closed the last in July 2007. Cardel Homes is the contractor named on buildings two and six and Brad Remington Homes on building three. Cardel Lifestyles applied for building eight and built it. Parking is underground and titled, and the land runs the Multi-Residential Contextual Low Profile District.
Nine buildings and a row of townhouses
The second development permit approved three row-house buildings of fifteen homes beside the apartments, and Cardel Lifestyles took out a permit for each of the three in February 2005, closing them through the first months of 2006. The assessment roll carries thirteen row-housing parcels on Panamount Drive between numbers 90 and 122, all of them dated 2005. A row house on that stretch carries the same name on the listing record as an apartment at number 70, so the address is what tells you which one you are reading.
What is around it
Panorama Hills is a new community and the roll says so, with 6,390 of its 9,271 assessed parcels dating to the 2000s and 2,187 to the 2010s. The community's own recreation facility and park sit at 88 Panamount Hill NW, approved by the City in March 2002. West Nose Creek Park, which the City files as a regional park, runs three kilometres south. The nearest CTrain platform is more than eight kilometres away.
