Walden Place

Walden Place sits at 10, 20, 25, 30, 35 and 40 Walgrove Walk SE, six four-storey apartment buildings on one Walden site. The City issued the first permit in June 2016 and closed the last in May 2023, and the six carry 428 homes between them. Four of the buildings hold 83 homes each and two hold 48. The land runs M-X2 and the 2026 assessment roll counts the same 428.

Four names sit on the six permits. Walden Place Ltd. filed the first building, NORR Architects Engineers Planners the second, Cardel Lifestyles the third, and Logel Homes the last three. Two waste and recycling buildings stand at 5 Walgrove Walk SE, permitted in 2016 and again in 2019. The later permits describe a four-storey apartment over a one-storey parkade.

Six buildings, one address each

The roll splits the 428 homes by building, 83 at 10, 83 at 20, 48 at 25, 83 at 30, 48 at 35 and 83 at 40, so a home at Walden Place can be in any of the six and the civic number is what says which. The order on the permit record runs 10 first, closed in August 2017, then 20 in August 2018, then 30 in June 2019, then 35 in November 2020, then 40 in May 2022, and 25 last in May 2023.
