Banff Trail

Nineteen-fifties bungalows between two LRT stations, with McMahon Stadium across Crowchild.

Established in 1952 and originally named West Capitol Hill, Banff Trail was a post-war subdivision of three-bedroom bungalows on a lane-served grid. Infills have been replacing them selectively rather than block by block, so streets still read as mid-century with newer builds set among them. The Banff Trail and University CTrain stations both serve the community, and Motel Village occupies the southwest corner along Crowchild Trail.
