Erlton
Two small subdivisions the railway joined, between the Elbow and Macleod Trail.
Erlton began as two places. Parkview was subdivided in 1906 north of 25th Avenue and Erlton in 1910 to the south, both intended as upscale. The CNR ran a line through in 1911 and the area filled instead with railway workers in modest houses. When the line was decommissioned in the 1980s the yard became Lindsay Park and the sports centre, and the small houses north of 25th gave way to low-rise condos and townhouses. Calgary’s oldest cemeteries sit here, and there are no schools inside the community.
