Mayfair

A hundred and fifty-six houses on the east bank of the Glenmore Reservoir.

The land was annexed in 1956 and Mayfair was established in 1957, a generation after the Glenmore Dam went into service in January 1933. Elbow Drive holds the east, Glenmore Trail the south, Bel-Aire the north, and the reservoir itself the west, which is a bank nobody can build on and a view nobody can build out. The ground falls west and the streets follow it, curving where the bank curves and finishing rather than continuing, so no traffic passes through. By the 2006 count every building was a single-family detached home. The reservoir's sixteen-kilometre perimeter pathway starts at the bottom of the community.
