Rosscarrock

A 1954 grid with the west line running through the middle of it.

Established in 1954 at what was then the western edge of the built city, on flat ground between Bow Trail and 17 Avenue, 33 Street and 45 Street. Westbrook Station sits inside the community on Route 202, and Westbrook Mall shares its name and its parking, so groceries and the platform are one walk. Apartment and condominium blocks make up over half the buildings, which puts sixties and seventies walk-ups along 37 Street and 38 Street against original bungalows deeper in the grid, a growing share of them now replaced by infills. The Shaganappi golf course holds the ground immediately east across 33 Street.
