Windsor Park

Eight avenues between Macleod Trail and a golf course, half of them apartments.

Established in 1940 and annexed by Calgary in 1951, Windsor Park runs from 50 Avenue to 58 Avenue with Macleod Trail on the east and the Calgary Golf and Country Club holding the whole western flank. Elbow Drive splits the middle and carries the shops. Apartment and condominium buildings gather on the 57 and 58 Avenue blocks and down the Macleod frontage, and postwar detached houses fill the interior streets, so a single community holds both a first purchase and a lot with a back lane. Chinook Centre sits south across 58 Avenue and Britannia Plaza one block north.
