Hopewell's community around a lake and a wetland, begun in 2008 on Ollerenshaw ranch land.
Mahogany sits in the city's southeast between Stoney Trail on the north, 88 Street on the east, 196 Avenue and Rangeview Boulevard on the south and 52 Street on the west. Hopewell Residential established the community in the fall of 2008, around a private lake owned by the homeowners association and a public wetland the City keeps as a district park of about 30 hectares. The City's 2026 assessment roll dates about two thirds of today's residential parcels to the 2010s.
